SETAS is a specialist in designing, delivering and promoting programmes that are aimed at improving individuals’ health, wellbeing, work and life skills.
SETAS was set up in 2017 by Richard Brooks to deliver employment, health, wellbeing and mental health programmes in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and South London. Richard has been delivering large Employment and Skills Programmes for 18 years, for Charities, Prime Contractors and Sub-contractors. Richard is a Fellow (and former Board Member) of the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) and a current Board Member of ERSA (Employment Related Services Association).
We were delighted to have the chance to deliver our first contract with Kennedy Scott in August 2017; the DWP/ESF Help to Work contract covering the Coast to Capital LEP with SETAS covering the Horsham District and Epsom and Ewell Borough. We work with long-term unemployed people or those with multiple barriers, offering a person-centred approach to delivery, working closely alongside Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders. We are Kennedy Scott's highest performing sub-contractor on the Help to Work contract.
In early 2018, SETAS also bid for and won the chance to deliver WISH (Work, Information and Support Hub) Job Clubs across Horsham District for Horsham District Council, delivering in Horsham, Henfield, Southwater, Storrington and Billinghurst. WISH offers personalised 1-2-1 and group support for jobseekers.
The three-hour sessions include CV, application and employability support as well as signposting and partnership working. We started in July 2018 and to date have engaged with over 200 people, with more than 60 starting work to date.
We train Mental Health First Aiders and deliver MHFA 2-day, 1-day and half day courses to businesses in their offices and open courses in community settings.
We hope to deliver as a sub-contractor in the South East on further DWP, ESF, SFA and Big Lottery Contracts for primes seeking additional reliable and performance-orientated sub-contractors.
